Bandai divulga novas informações de “The Ghost in the Shell” nova produção do Science SARU

A Bandai Namco Filmworks revelou recentemente um teaser, uma nova arte promocional e os nomes de integrantes da equipe de produção da mais nova adaptação de “Ghost in the Shell”, produzida pelo estúdio Science SARU (Dan Da Dan), intitulada “Kōkaku Kidōtai THE GHOST IN THE SHELL” (The Ghost in the Shell), a nova série tem estreia prevista para 2026.

Moko-chan (Dan Da Dan, The Heike Story, Tatami Time Machine Blues) está estreando como diretor no Science SARU. Toh Enjoe (The Empire of Corpses, Space Dandy, Godzilla Singular Point) está escrevendo e supervisionando os roteiros da série. Shūhei Handa (Little Witch Academia, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Spriggan ONA) é o character designer e também atuará como diretor-chefe de animação.

A Bandai Namco Filmworks anunciou a nova série pela primeira vez em Maio de 2024. A Bandai Namco Filmworks, a Kodansha, o Science SARU e a Production I.G fazem parte do comitê de produção da série.

Antes da produção do Sciense SARU, a obra de Masamune Shirow foi adaptada em longas-metragens e “Ghost in the Shell” (1995), “Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence” (2004), “Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie” (2015), “Ghost in the Shell” (2017), “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex” (2002–05), “Ghost in the Shell: Arise” (2013–15), “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045” (2020–22), “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – Solid State Society” (2006), “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 – Sustainable War” (2021), “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 – The Last Human” (2023), “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – The Laughing Man” (2005) e “Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG – Individual Eleven” (2006).

E em 2017, “Ghost in the Shell”, uma adaptação hollywoodiana produzida pela DreamWorks e Steven Spielberg, chegava aos cinemas. A adaptação foi dirigida por Rupert Sanders e protagonizada por Scarlett Johansson. Demostrando o quão significativa a obra de Shirow se tornou para ficção científica.

Recentemente a exposição “The World of Masamune Shirow -The Ghost in the Shell and the Path of Creation-“ foi inaugurada no Setagaya Literary Museum, em Tokyo, e ficará em exibição até 17 de Agosto.

Em Agosto de 2024, a dubladora Atsuko Tanaka, a interprete de Motoko Kusanagi na franquia, faleceu aos 61 anos.

No Brasil a editora JBC publica “The Ghost in the Shell”, “The Ghost in The Shell 1.5”, “The Ghost in the Shell 2.0 – Manmachine Interface”, “The Ghost in The Shell – The Human Algorithm” e “Ghost in the Shell Perfect Book”.

A Netflix disponibiliza em seu catálogo “Ghost in the Shell: O Fantasma do Futuro”, “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045” e “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045: Guerra Sustentável”, além “A Vigilante do Amanhã: Ghost in the Shell” a adaptação hollywoodiana lançada em 2017. Além da Netflix o catálogo da Amazon Prime Video disponibiliza produções da franquia.
